"My Struggle" Devo / Mark Mothersbaugh / Booji Boy book, rare first printing

Description

For sale here is the incredibly rare Mark Mothersbaugh / Booji Boy / Devo book "My Struggle".  This is a first edition book from a printing of about 700, dated 1978, without the gold inscribed cover found on later editions.  Mothersbaugh personally assembled about half of the first edition; there are some differences across this first printing (prayer ribbon, endpaper color, binding details) and there's some conflicting information about who assembled which ones, so I cannot in good faith attest that Mothersbaugh personally assembled this book himself, only that it's possible.  I can attest in good faith that it is in fact a first edition and I stand by the description here.  The successful buyer may be able to further authenticate the book, as all the relevant spuds are still currently devolving.
The book is in Good to Very Good condition: there are no tears but there are certainly signs of wear; there's some light yellowing and very light foxing of the pages.  The cover and spine have some light creasing and the red has disappeared from a few spots on the dogeared corners.  This printing includes the prayer ribbon, which is intact but fraying a bit at the end.  The binding has pulled away from the rear endpaper a bit, but this does not show on the exterior of the book, and it still feels solid, sturdy, and tight in-hand.  Please see photos; I've tried to represent it fairly and honestly.  Overall it's G / VG, and a really nice example of this title, especially considering how rare it is.
